Martin & Anna Arndorfer run an estate based in Kamptal, an hour northeast of Vienna, where they make several different wines as part of . This particular bottling is done in 85% stainless steel and 15% large neutral barrels. 100% Gruner Veltliner grown on loess soils planted in 1990. Clean and simple in a refreshing way. Lots of minerality.

The couple are both from winemaking families and met in 2000, when they decided to work harvest together in Australia at The Lane in the Adelaide Hills. This became an influential time in their early winemaking careers.
Martin also spent time in Italy working with Fabrizio Iuli; the influence of that training is shown in his love of fermenting in barrique, which sets him somewhat apart in Austria.

I compared this 2021 vintage with last year's. While both are good, the 2020 seemed a bit fuller in flavor. Still, the 2021 is solid!
