The “Asitli” Rosso Sardegna is one of the more fascinating coferments around. This wine is a field blend of 50% Cannonau 50% Bovale Sardo/Muristeddu, Monica and Pascale. The vines were sourced from the family’s highest altitude vineyard, perched on the slope of Mount Astili, and the resulting wine is a heady combination of red plum fruit, herbal notes, and electro-bright acidity.

  • Sergio Loi is a 4th generation winemaker, and the property’s origins date back to the early 900s.
  • The Loi family dry farms with no herbicides or pesticides, and vinifies the wine with native yeasts.
  • Monica is an indigenous Sardinian varietal that possibly has Spanish origins.
  • Granite soils give these vines plenty of acidity and depth.
